
SHORT BIO
From a young age Zeyneb often found her imagination running wild, as books became for her a home and getaway. Her experiences growing up as a neurodivergent Turkish-Iraqi Muslim woman have further fueled the direction of her writing to include a variety of misunderstood characters with complex identities. When not writing or chasing her toddler around the house, Zeyneb can be found drinking iced coffee year-round, brainstorming with her husband, reading voraciously, playing on her switch, and perfecting the art of Turkish cuisine.
LONG BIO
Born in Vancouver, B.C., Zeyneb Holdridge was raised to embrace her Turkish-Iraqi heritage, which has informed her passion for infusing her lifelong love of storytelling with elements of Turkic culture. Having grown up in an immigrant family and always on the move, from a young age Zeyneb often found her imagination running wild, as books became for her a home and getaway. Her experiences growing up as a neurodivergent Muslim woman have further fueled the direction of her writing to include a variety of misunderstood characters with complex identities. Most recently, Zeyneb has resided in the historical district of Istanbul with her family, so she’s drawn plentiful inspiration for her upcoming projects. Zeyneb is currently based in the Seattle area and when she’s not chasing her toddler around, she can be found reading, playing Legend of Zelda, and perfecting the art of Turkish cuisine.
